Want to know what I’ve been up to in past years? That’s the question most folks ask first. Under the tab, “About Me” at the top of this page you can find out what I’ve been up to. 

    Several of the tab pages suggest things I might expand upon but cover my main areas of interest—for now I’m focusing on those things people most ask about.  The most recent development is the publication of my new book. It just became available the first of August.

Here’s a shot of the cover. Click on the above tab, “My Book” to learn more and to order the book. Of course, it will help me to get the word out if you’re comfortable sharing with your pastor or small group leaders at church. And after you read it, please post your thoughts (be altogether candid, not just nice). That helps other potential readers decide whether to get it.

An additional part of my ministry is to help folks  create their own basic will (Create a Will).  If you or those you love need a personal will you’ll see that you can create your own in about 30 minutes over the phone with me.

    In the tab, Gift Planning, you’ll eventually find strategies people can use to combine charitable giving with financial planning.  For years, I worked at a large Foundation in San Diego as Vice President of Gift Planning.  While there, I worked with many estate planning attorneys and accounts to show people how to benefit their charity and at the same time increase current income, avoid unnecessary taxation, and leave more to their children than they thought they could.  More on that as I have time.  There are very creative and interesting things to learn.

    On a part time basis, I also speak and conduct seminars for churches. If either you or your pastor would be interested in learning more about that, you can go to www.10TB.org. There you’ll find some very nice pastor endorsements and a short video clip of what to expect.

    The final category (so far) is my hobby of cooking.  For several years now, I’ve been experimenting with how to cook everything from scratch.  I’ve found it fascinating, and of course, the results are wonderful. I’m not at a level to teach anyone, but for my personal friends, it’s kind of a fun thing to share—literally, if you’re in the area. Otherwise, we can just swap stories and recipes.

    Creating a Blog and Podcasts will probably come last.  Until I get to just maintaining the site, most of my time will be spent on its development.
